So when I say recently I mean last night. I like it, but I can understand why MC Frontalot called it hassle the dorkening. This game is complex and hard to master. So you might ask yourself “Why the hell would you pick up such a pain in the ass after you have been warned?” Well that is a good question. So here is the story.

My wife and I are geeks and have always been geeks. Today we were out and about and noticed a new gaming center had opened. This is not the type of gaming center with videos games, but one with tables and chairs. Seeing it we decided to walk in. I was amazed at how intense these guys were about the games they are playing! OMG! These guys were hardcore.

Seeing that got me thinking. I really like gaming, mostly on the PC and XBOX, but I think it would also be fun to learn a new game that I could play without a computer and with my friends. Well not my biker friends for the most part, but the guys I hack around with and my kids and wife. So we went and found some inexpensive deck builder’s tool kits.

We spent hours when we first got home on learning the basic rules and building our decks. Once we had that done and Sean put to bed we started playing. That did not end to almost 3AM! At first Charlie was kicking my butt because I did not build a good deck. I spent a few minutes building a new deck and did not lose the rest of the morning.

So here is the bottom line. If you like gaming and social interaction in person I would recommend that you pick up a starter set and start playing. If you do and live in TN let me know and I will come play a few games with you.
