2011 was a challenging year for me on many levels. I gained some of the weight back that I had lost in 2010. I experienced professional challenges that I didn’t think I would ever have to face. Toward the end of the year I have decided that I needed to reset my goals for the coming year. I know some people don’t believe in setting “New Years Resolutions”, but I feel it helps focus me for the coming year.
Personal Goals
Diet
- Lose down to 170 lbs by the end of the year
- Maintain the WeightWatcher program
- Track meals and workouts more accurately
Exercise
- Exercise 5 days a week
- Bench press 250
- Run for 45 minutes or more
Finances
- Pay off one major bill
Family
- Take at least two weeks of true family vacation
- Marry my wife again
Professional Goals
Learning
- Attend one SANS classes
- Complete a programming course
- Write a mobile application
- Write a metasploit module
Productivity
- Design a stress free productivity system that I can maintain
- Meet all deadlines or complete work ahead of time
Shooting Goals
Pistol
- Compete in 6 IDPA events
- Win one IDPA event
Rifle
- Buy a precision rifle
- Shoot a sub MOA group
Classes
- Attend at least one Magpul Dynamics class
I will make it a point to keep this list updated and make sure I am blogging about my progress. I know this is going to be tough journey, but I am willing to take it and will do anything to succeed.
