The NIN have always been a great band that created soundscapes that where second to none and Trent Reznor is a genius. But this album is something special. It is based around an distopic alternate reality in which there is government sponsored mind control and drugs. This leads the people to be pliable and easy to rule. Some might say this is not to far off of what we have today.
Reznor has gone as far as creating an alternate reality game that is web based around the world of Year Zero. The album does a fantastic job of immersing you into the world of Year Zero. The soundscapes created are fantastic and haunting at times. I find myself wanting to know more about the world. This would almost make a great movie, game or book. This is truly a great work of art.

Well there are rumors flying all over about the GPhone. If there is one company that GETS what the mobile market needs it is Google! I full expect a user experience that will far surpass what has been achieved up until this point. I will be at the first place to sell them in my area to buy at least 2.

I think I have been to hard on the political system. I have learned a lot from the last 16 years from the political system in the US.
Blow job from a consenting girl is bad, but from a prostitute it is fine.
Shooting people is bad unless you are the Vice President or make up really good stories first.
Pissing off all of our allies is good.
Actual defince of the country is far less important then blowing money to pretend to protect the country.
Fire every one who does not agree with you.
These are just five of the very important lessons I have learned. Maybe I should go into politics myself.

There are lots of us geeks that run Linux full time at home or the office. We have become good at getting our systems stable and fully functional. That being said there are times when we have to run windows programs in Linux. We have had Wine for this task for a longtime now, but some times it can be hard to configure for newbies and it does not always look that good.
In comes Wine-doors. This program automates the configuration of Wine and installation of applications. If you still need to run Windows apps on Linux I highly recommend this app.

This thing just makes me all gooey on the inside. If you love tech and beautiful computer installs then you will love this. It is installed in a former chapel in Barcelona and is currently the 9th most powerful super computer in the world and the most powerful in Europe.

My buddy Daniel recommended Sabayon Linux. Well I am wanting to try and redo my home desktop and I decided to give it a try. I will be doing some updates to tell you guys how it is going. I know since it is based on Gentoo that it might take some time to install, but I am hoping they minimize this impact.
Update 1
So far my updates are going pretty smooth. I have got compiz working as well as my basic environment setup. I am about to do an update and then we will see what breaks.
END
Update 2
Well I have become disillusioned with this desktop. While I love Gentoo and like some of the features of this distro I feel that Ubuntu is a more complete solution. I am going to give it a little more time before I blow it away, but it is not looking good.
End Update
